Louisville Nipped by New Philadelphia 12-7 in Season Opener – Football

Kadan Swope and Drew Dillen each scored goals to lead Louisville to a 2-1 road win at New Philadelphia. Dominic Porter-Kovacich and Bailey Adams also recorded assists as LHS improved to 6-0-1 their best start since 2007.
Owen Burick threw for 299 yards and a touchdown to Austin Wade but the Leopards fell to the host Quakers 42-21 in their season opener. Owen DiMarzio also scored a pair of touchdowns for Louisville.
Zach Root, Bryce Graziani, Cole Miller, and Carter Deem combined for a 3-hit shutout as the Leopards blanked the visiting Quakers 1-0. Karson Siegfried drove in Charlie Roberts for the game’s only run in the 4th as LHS improved to 19-7.
Connor Morley threw a 4-hit shutout and went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles to lead Louisville to a 4-0 win at New Philadelphia. Ty Paumier also recorded an RBI and Karson Siegfried doubled as LHS won its 5th straight.
Gabe Stoffer and Chase Duskey both won their singles matches in straight sets as Louisville defeated visiting New Philadelphia 4-1. Both Leopard doubles teams also won as LHS improved to 8-7.
Matti Benson went 4-for-4 with a 2-run homer and 3 RBIs to lead the Leopards in their 13-6 loss to the visiting Quakers. Brooke Haren and Katie Heather also registered multi-hit games for Louisville who dropped to 1-1.
Michael Emerick Jr placed 7th rolling a 596 series in leading Louisville to a 6th place finish as a team at the DI Eastbury Sectional Tournament. Estrella Lopez-Cruz rolled a 474 to lead the Lady Leopards who finished 9th at Eastbury Bowling Center.
Brady Adams scored a pair of goals and had an assist to lead Louisville in their 4-1 win over visiting New Philadelphia. Angelo Paquelet and Drew Dillen also added goals for the Leopards who finish the regular season with a mark of 12-4.
Peyton Biery finished 15th individually after carding an 88 to lead Louisville in their 7th place finish at the DI Elms Sectional Tournament. Kylie Wallace also shot 91 as the Lady Leopards concluded their 2022 campaign.
