Connor Zwick connected with Andy Minster for the Leopards only touchdown during a 10-7 scrimmage loss to the Red Riders. Joe Crank also picked off a pass in the endzone for Louisville.
The Leopards and Golden Eagles Boys Soccer Game was called with 32:07 left in the second half due to lightning. The game is officially being counted as a 0-0 tie.
Gretchen Groves, Alexis Isla, and Sarah Robbins were all crowned singles champions Saturday & won their matches against the Jackson B squad Wednesday. Kayla Pukys & Jozie Scott were also crowned Doubles Champions at Orrville.
The Lady Leopards opened up the season Wednesday with a 1-0 shutout victory over the host Vikings. Rachel Baughman’s first half goal proved to be the difference and Becca Springman made several second half saves in goal.
Brennan Seemann’s header with 21:42 remaining was the Leopards only goal of the contest as the Red Devils won the opener 2-1. Trevor Burk provided the assist and Austin Terra made several saves in goal.
Louisville defeated West Branch 175-182, Salem 179-181, and Canton South 171-184 to improve to 4-2 overall on the season. Matt Eddins and Dom Lacerenza combined to hold the top Leopard scores.
Gina McVey shot a 45 to lead the Lady Leopards over visiting Marlington 194-222 on Saturday and Adrienne Metzger shot a 43 to lead Louisville over host Fairless 181-232 on Monday.
With the new enrollment figures and breakdowns released by the OHSAA, all Leopards sports will be in DI except for football which will play in DIII. Baseball, Boys Soccer, Boys Swimming, and Wrestling all make the jump to DI this season.
