Louisville Strikes Early, but Hoban Rallies to Win 6-2 – Softball

AJ Burick had 11 assists including her 1000th career varsity assist in the Lady Leopards 14-25, 15-25, 17-25 road loss to the Knights. Kardohely also had 8 digs, Brooke Haren 7 kills, and Taylor McCully 2 blocks as Louisville fell to 2-15.
Seth Anderson won the long jump and the 400 meter dash to lead the Leopards in their 73-63 loss to the host Knights. The Lady Leopards also fell to Hoban 88-41.
Kenzi Denzer batted 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Leopards in their 5-1 road loss against the Lady Knights. Brooke Brendle and Stevie Barrett also had hits for LHS who drops to 1-1.
8 different Leopards won sectional titles and 11 qualified for districts as Louisville won its 5th straight sectional championship as a team. Champions included Kolten Barker, Dylan Rhoads, Pablo Castro, Dominic Hoffarth, Brenden Severs, Noah Peterson, Blake Schaffer, & Cameron Brazek.
Jack Mayle shot a team low 81 to take 10th individually and lead the Leopards to a 6th place finish at the Shamrock Shootout at Alliance Country Club. Sam Karcher also shot 84, Zach Root 85, and Cole Miller 89 for Louisville.
Cole Miller shot a team low 86 to lead the Leopards as they took 13th place out of 19 teams at Congress Lake Blue Streaks Invitational. Jack Mayle & Zach Root also shot 88 each and Sam Karcher carded a 90 for LHS.
Rachel Kibler and Katie Yarnall both won their singles matches to lead the Lady Leopards in their 3-2 victory against the host Knights. The #1 doubles team of Bailey Mengay & McKenzie Taylor was also victorious in two sets as Louisville improved to 3-0.
Alexis Ralston finished as tournament medalist after posting a 79 and Abby Davis took runner-up with 80 in leading the Lady Leopards to a 1st place finish out of 19 teams at Trumbull Country Club. Erin Strouse also placed fifth as LHS sent out Head Coach Michele Vlacovsky on top.
Alexis Ralston shot 75 to place 5th and Erin Strouse shot 80 to take 7th individually as the Lady Leopards finished 3rd out of 9 teams at the Sectional Preview held at The Elms Country Club. Abby Davis also shot 83 to place 11th for Louisville.
