The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team fell to the visiting Akron Archbishop Hoban Knights 6-2 Monday at West Main Vet Clinic Field. With the loss, Louisville falls to 1-2 on the season.

Louisville Varsity Softball ‘23 got things started in the first inning. Matti Benson doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Faith Porter was in the pitcher’s circle for Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights. The righty went seven innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out five.
Katie Heath was in the circle for Louisville Varsity Softball ‘23. The lefty surrendered four runs on five hits over three innings, striking out two. Anna Sirohman threw four innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Benson and Kaitlin Twinem each managed one hit to lead Louisville Varsity Softball ‘23.
Kennedy Bray led Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights with three hits in four at bats. Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Sidney Conti had the most chances in the field with four.
