DI Massillon District Softball Seed Voting Matrix 2016
The Leopards received the highest respect from the Lake Blue Streaks who voted them as the #2 seed. Louisville defeated Lake on Friday 9-2 heading into the draw. Perry also voted the Lady Leopards as the #3 seed. Louisville defeated the Panthers this past Monday 5-3.
Akron East sent the Leopards the least respect in voting them the worst seed overall. Wooster also showed little love to Louisville by voting them the 11th seed.
Perry earned the top seed with a unanimous vote. Green also received the #2 Seed vote by every team except for Lake. Perennial powerhouse North Canton Hoover ended up with the #3 Seed and defending District Champion GlenOak took the #4 Seed. The Lady Leopards were blanked by the Vikings 3-0 this past Wednesday and also lost to the Golden Eagles 4-3 in an extra inning affair back on April 2.
There was a significant gap in points after that. Jackson, who beat Louisville 4-3 back on April 20 took the #5 seed. They finished with 3 more points than Louisville and the Leopards edged out the #6 seed over Lake by a single point.
The Lady Leopards are 2-3 against foes from the Massillon District this season. Louisville’s regular season schedule does not include any teams from the District the rest of the way.
