Trevor Burick, Jimi Crilow, and Landyn Fohner combined for a no-hitter as the #14 Leopards run-ruled the visiting #40 Mustangs 24-1 in the DIII Northeast 5 Sectional Finals. Noah Morris also hit 2 doubles and Max Roberts drove in 3 runs as LHS moved to 15-9.
Kaitlin Twinem went 3-for-3 with a 3-run triple & an RBI double to lead the #18 Lady Leopards past the host #16 Fighting Irish in the District Semifinals. Anna Sirohman also went 2-for-3 and Katelynn Miller struck out 6 earning the win in the circle as LHS improve to 14-13.
Zander Triplett went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles & Caden Kortis hit an RBI double as the Leopards defeated the visiting Spartans 5-3. Grayson Brunoni and Brock Leghart both went 2-for-3 with an RBI as LHS finished the regular season 14-9.
Jake Beard went 2-for-3 and hit the game-winning 2-run single to lead the Leopards past the Eagles 5-3 at John Carroll University. Grayson Brunoni & Zander Triplett also had RBI hits as LHS improved to 13-9.
Grayson Brunoni, Bryce Johnson, and Brock Leghart each singled but the Leopards were shutout by the host Quakers 1-0. Caden Kortis also threw 3 hitless innings and stole 3 bases as LHS fell to 12-9.
Zander Triplett went 2-for-4 and scored the winning run on Jake Beard’s walk-off sacrifice fly as the Leopards defeated the visiting Vikings 7-6. Luke Seaman also went 2-for-3 and Cody Zahler smashed a triple as LHS improved to 12-8.
Taylor Thompson had 4 hits & Shae O’Neill went 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs as the #18 Lady Leopards upset the host #8 Fighting Irish 11-3 in the Sectional Finals. Taylor Schneider struck out 8 in the circle & Leah Claugus recorded her 100th hit as LHS evened its mark at 13-13.
Izzy Babcock scored 5 goals and Claire Genet scored 4 goals as the #13 Lady Leopards dominated the #11 Bulldogs in the opening round of the playoffs. Grace Diller also scored a pair of goals as LHS improved to 10-5.
Parker Daum recorded a hat trick and Mason Warner scored a pair of goals but the #13 Leopards fell to the host #11 Crusaders 6-5 in the first round of the DII Region 6 playoffs. Louisville finishes the season 7-11.
