Leopards Blank Aviators 2-0 – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer team shutout the visiting Alliance Aviators 2-0 Wednesday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville is now 2-1-1 overall and remains unbeaten with a 2-0 record in the NBC.
Kayla Gibson scored a pair of goals in the first ten minutes of the contest. The Leopards wasted no time in getting on the board as Hannah Baughman assisted Gibson’s first goal just 2:54 into the game. Gibson scored again at the 30:33 mark of the opening half via a cross from Deana Ross.
That was it. The Louisville defense dominated Alliance for the remaining 70 minutes to claim the shutout. The Leopards out-shot the Aviators 34-3 and held a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.
With the win, the Lady Leopards have now downed the Lady Aviators in 7 consecutive meeting. Louisville now leads the All-Time Series 9-4-1, which includes a 6-2 record at home. This is the fourth time the Leopards have shutout Alliance in their last 5 games against each other.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Austintown Fitch Falcons on Saturday, September 9. JV will commence at 1:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 3:00 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium.

The Leopards JV team also blanked the visiting Aviators 9-0.
Tapanga Smith guided the Leopard attack with 5 assists and a goal. Lana Ulrich also scored a goal and added an assist.
Nine different Louisville players scored during the contest. Other scorers included Kayle Brown, Hannah Daughtry, Megan Hampe, Lia Meckel, Emilee Mueller, Alyssa Pitts, and Gabby Smith.
