Lady Leopards Take 4th at Stark County Tournament – Girls Golf

The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team competed at the Stark County Championships Tournament Saturday at Arrowhead Golf Club. The Lady Leopards shot 339 as a team to place fourth out of 11 competing Stark County schools.

Strouse Shoots Team Low 78 to Lead LHS
Louisville senior Erin Strouse carded a team low 78 for the tournament to tie for 9th place individually. Strouse shot 37 on the front nine before tallying 41 on the back nine to finish as the Lady Leopards top golfer for the day.
Other scorers for Louisville included seniors Alexis Ralston 84, Lauren L’Amoreaux 87, and Abby Davis 90. Senior Claire Weston also shot 93 and sophomore Peyton Biery finished with 96 to round out the other LHS participants.
Hoover Takes Stark County Title
The North Canton Hoover Vikings shot 315 as a team ahead of the second place Marlington Dukes who finished with 331. The Jackson Polar Bears also captured third place finishing with 331, just three strokes ahead of the Leopards.
Louisville finished 18 strokes in front of fifth place Canton Central Catholic who totaled 357.
Perry’s Sophia Rosa shot 1 over par 71 to finish as the tournament medalist. Rosa shot 37 on the front nine before finishing with a tournament low 34 on the back nine. North Canton Hoover’s Abby Blackburn was the individual runner-up after carding a 72 for the day. Blackburn shot a tournament low 35 on the front nine and tallied 37 on the back nine for the Vikings. Jackson’s Avery Wright also captured third place individually with 73.
