Matti Benson went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored but Louisville fell to Perry Gold 8-7 at the Duhon Softball Tournament. Kenzi Denzer also had two hits and Brooke Brendle drove in a pair of runs as the Lady Leopards fell to 4-9.
Andrew Corona and JT Popick each recorded 2 hits to lead Louisville in their 4-2 win over visiting Perry. Walker Kandel also had a 2-run single and Connor Morley earned the win on the mound for LHS who improved to 9-5.
Courtney Barwick scored a team high 13 points to lead Louisville in their 60-54 road loss to Perry. Kelsey Adelman also scored 12 and Taryn Miglich added 11 for the Lady Leopards who fall to 10-4.
Will Aljancic scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Leopards in their 71-48 season opening victory against the visiting Panthers. Tyler Boldon also scored 16 points and Hayden Nigro added 14 for Louisville.
Colby Adams placed 2nd and Owen Pukys took 6th to lead Louisville to their first regional title since 2015. Bobby Ganser also came in 16th as the Leopards advanced to state for fourth consecutive season.
Colby Adams, Bobby Ganser, & Owen Pukys all finished in the top 6 to lead the Leopards to their first District Title since 2019. Camryn Barker and Bailey Menegay qualified for regionals for the Louisville girls.
Jack Mayle shot a team low 77 to finish 11th individually qualifying for the district tournament. Zach Root also shot 82 as the Leopards finished 7th at the DI Tannenhauf Sectional with a team score of 333.
AJ Burick recorded 44 assists, Sloane Sypolt registered 15 kills, and Emma Davis finished with 11 digs as the Leopards defeated the host Panthers 25-22, 23-25, 27-25, 25-18. Bridget DeJacimo was Louisville’s leading server with 12 points as they moved to 8-8.
Austin Smith scored a pair of goals to lead the Leopards in a 2-2 draw against the visiting Panthers. Brady Adams and Ethan Diller both recorded assists as LHS moved to 4-4-3.
