Tornadoes Blow Past Leopards 7-1 in Opener – Softball

Connor Morley singled in the tying run & Zack Seaman hit walk-off single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Leopards past the visiting Tornadoes 2-1 in the season opener. Tyler Jackson also pitched 5 shutout innings & struck out 8.
Griffin Millspaugh won #1 singles in straight sets for the Leopards lone victory in their 4-1 season opening loss to the host Crusaders. This was Central’s first victory over Louisville since 1983.
Brandon Kimble scored a pair of goals to lead the Leopards in their 17-5 road loss to the Vikings. Jacob Davide, Tyler Shadle, and Matt VanNostran also scored goals for now 1-2 Louisville.
Tyler Shadle scored 6 goals and Bryce Rebuck finished with 4 goals to lead the Leopards in their 17-5 road victory over the Spartans. Brandon Kimble and Matt VanNostran both added a pair of goals each for Louisville who improved to 1-1.
Davin Rhoads won the 138 state title in sudden victory and Pablo Castro finished as state runner-up in 132 as Louisville finished as team state runner-up at the DII State Wrestling Tournament.
Chase Barstow rolled a 715 series to finish as the DI state runner-up individually while leading the Leopards to a 12th place finish overall. Matt Darlison also rolled 533 and Tom Warner 532 in their series.
Cameron Brazek, Garett Lautzenheiser, and Davin Rhoads all won District Titles as Louisville ran away with the District Championship as a team. 9 Leopard wrestlers placed with 8 qualifying for the state meet next week.
Will Aljancic and Cory Noble both scored a team-high 12 points to lead #9 seed Louisville in their 53-43 loss at #2 seed Poland in the DII Northeast 2 District Semifinals. The Leopards finish the season with a final record of 14-10.
Chase Barstow rolled a team best 470 series to lead the Louisville Boys in their 3013-2942 loss to visiting Canton McKinley. Marissa Hilson led the Lady Leopards with a 360 series in their 2491-2278 loss to the Lady Pups.
