Clayton Elder broke a 33 year old school record in the 300 Meter Hurdles and was voted meet MVP to lead the Boys to a 4th place finish. Makenna Jones also set a Larry Cogan Invitational record in the 100 Meter Hurdles to lead the Girls to a 3rd place finish.
Sarah Cantley struck out 14 batters en rout to her 50th career victory as the Leopards beat the Falcons 10-2 on Senior Night. Alex Fankhauser also ripped a 3-run homer as Louisville improved to 16-3.
Dom Mongiardo batted 3-for-3 and Cam Lingle drove in a pair of runs & earned the victory on the mound as the Leopards beat the Dukes 9-6. Tyler Jackson also struck out 5 to earn the save for now 15-4 LHS.
Sarah Cantley threw a 4-hit shutout and notched her 500th strikeout during the Leopards 14-0 shutout of the Golden Eagles. Kaylee Nolte also went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs as Louisville improved to 15-3 on the year.
Cam Lingle batted 3-for-4 with a 3-run homer and 2 RBI doubles to lead Louisville past host Marlington 11-3. Dillon Rebuck also had 3 hits, Davis Burick hit a 2-run homer, and Jordan Shearer struck out 9 on the mound.
Kaycee Ollis went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs including a game-tying single in the top of the 7th, but the Leopards lost to the Polar Bears on a walk-off 6-5. Sydney McKeever also went 2-for-3 for Louisville who snapped an 8-game winning streak.
The Louisville Leopards Girls Track Team placed 3rd and the Boys 6th at the Stark County Championships Track Meet Saturday at Perry High School.
Andrew Gray struck out 5 and earned the win on the mound for the Leopards who defeated the Golden Eagles 5-2. Cam Lingle and Caleb Prasco also drove in runs for Louisville who snapped a 7-game skid against GlenOak.
