The Lake Blue Streaks used a 22-5 second quarter to open up the game before defeating the Louisville Leopards 55-29 in the North Canton Division I Sectional Final at Walsh University Friday.
Clara Lemmon delivered the block of the year and provided the game-clinching steal during Louisville’s 49-48 victory at Central. Emily Nees led the Leps with 11 points and Hannah Lemmon poured in 10.
The Lady Leopards closed out their NBC Schedule with a 52-37 road victory at Canton South. Their 12-2 league record gives them a share of the NBC along with West Branch at 12-2.
Clara Lemmon led all scorers with 10 points, while Emily Nees and Rachel Zeller each added 7 to lead the Lady Leps past the Alliance.
Jordan Monnot scored a game-high 14 points, while both Clara Lemmon and Mackenzie Rankin added 8 each to lead Louisville in a 57-30 victory over Marlington.
Carrollton snapped a 19-game losing streak against the Lady Leps with a 53-48 win that created a three-way tie in the NBC. Hollyann Mullett scored 13 and Hannah Lemmon added 10 to lead the Leopards.
Hollyann Mullett poured in 16 points and hit 3 three-pointers to lead the Lady Leps past the Salem Quakers 48-29. Mackenzie Rankin also added 9 points as Louisville improved to 12-5, 9-1.
