Lady Leopards Blanked at Alliance in Season Opener 5-0 – Girls Tennis

Matti Benson hit a pair of homers and had 5 RBIs to lead the Lady Leopards past the visiting Aviators 7-6. Shelby Mayle also homered and Brooke Brendle drove in the final Louisville run as LHS improved to 4-5.
8 different Leopards won sectional titles and 11 qualified for districts as Louisville won its 5th straight sectional championship as a team. Champions included Kolten Barker, Dylan Rhoads, Pablo Castro, Dominic Hoffarth, Brenden Severs, Noah Peterson, Blake Schaffer, & Cameron Brazek.
Anya Willett, Reese Joliat, Ashley Menegay, Katelyn Claugus, and Taylor Dimmerling all had first place finishes as the Lady Leopards defeated Cloverleaf & Alliance 129-63-59. Mike Conway also finished 1st in the 500 freestyle for the boys.
Hayden Nigro scored a game-high 21 points and Will Aljancic poured in 19 but the Leopards fell to the host Aviators 61-55. Tyler Boldon also hit double digits with 11 as Louisville dropped to 2-1.
Caleb Miller accounted for 215 total yards of offense and threw 3 touchdowns to lead the Leopards in their 28-27 road win over the Aviators. Zack Seaman made a pair of touchdown catches and both Connor Adelman & Chase Mueller scored touchdowns as LHS improved to 1-8.
Amelia Henderhan recorded her 6th shutout of the season as Louisville blanked visiting Alliance 2-0 on Senior Night. Fallon VanZant and Matti Benson scored the Lady Leopards goals as they improved to 4-6-5.
Joey Reynolds recorded a shutout in goal to lead Louisville to a 2-0 victory at Alliance. Mason Foley and Austin Smith also scored second half goals for the Leopards who improved to 3-1.
Zach Root recorded the first hole-in-one in Louisville team history as the Leopards finished 11th at the Tannenhauf Invitational. Jack Mayle again led LHS by shooting 81 for the tournament.
Jack Mayle shot a team best 83 to lead the Leopards who placed 5th out of 8 teams at the Aviator Golf Classic held at Alliance Country Club. Caleb Harsh & Zach Root also carded 86 and Cole Miller tallied an 88 to round out the LHS scorers.
