Leopards Place 5th at Aviator Golf Classic – Boys Golf

The Louisville Leopards Boys Golf Team competed at the Alliance Aviator Golf Classic Tuesday at Alliance Country Club. Louisville shot 343 as a team to finish in fifth place out of 8 teams.
Mayle Leads Leopards Again
Sophomore Jack Mayle shot a team low 83 to lead the Leopards and finish 15th individually. Junior Caleb Harsh and sophomore Zach Root tied for 18th place individually after both carded 86 for Louisville. Sophomore Cole Miller rounded out the Leopards scoring by shooting 88 to place 25th.
Other Leopards included juniors Sam Karcher and Ian DiMarzio. Karcher shot 91 to place 33rd and DiMarzio tallied 98 to come in 36th against a field of 45 individual golfers.
Medina Wins Aviator Golf Classic
Medalist Preston Trumpler shot an individual best 73 to lead the Medina. The Battling Bees captured first place for the tournament with a team score of 315.
The Dover came in as runner-ups with a team total of 323. The Tornadoes were led by individual runner-up Carter Begue who shot 76 for the day.
The Walsh Jesuit Warriors also took third place with a team score of 326 and the Marlington Dukes placed fourth just ahead of Louisville with a team tally of 340.
The Leopards knocked off 6 strokes from their 349 score from a year ago when they took fourth place at the Alliance Golf Classic.
