Louisville broke a scoreless tie at the break with a pair of second half scores. Junior Mason Foley put the Leopards on the board with his first goal of the season.

Louisville added to their lead with an insurance goal by senior Austin Smith via an assist from sophomore Brayden Mayle.

The Leopards have now won 7 of their past 8 meetings against the Aviators dating back to 2014, which includes 3 of the last 4 when playing at Alliance. 

The Aviators still lead the all-time series 11-9-1, which includes a 6-4-1 record when playing at Alliance. This is Louisville’s second straight shutout of the Aviators and fifth shutout in the series against them overall.

JV: Louisville 9, Coventry 1

Re-Elect Corey Street Louisville City Council AdThe Louisville Leopards JV Boys Soccer Team upended the visiting Coventry Comets 9-1 Thursday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, the Louisville JV matches the varsity with a 3-1 mark on the year.

Nick Johnston recorded a hat trick to lead the Leopards. Avery Andrejcik, Will Pouchabay, and Kadan Swope also scored a goal and recorded an assist each. Damien Lowder and Remington Klein both added 2 assists each.

Other Louisville goal scorers included Mitchell Edgein, Ryan Kibler, and Caleb Riley. Ethan Lewis and Rilen Yoder both recorded assists as well.

The Leopards led 3-0 at the half and built an 8-0 lead late in the second half before the Comets got on the board via a penalty kick. Edgein added the final goal via an assist by Yoder to make it 9-1 before time expired.
