The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team shutout the visiting Alliance Aviators 2-0 on Senior Night Monday at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 4-6-5 on the season.
VanZant and Benson Score Leopards Goals
Senior Fallon VanZant got the Leopards on the board first in the opening half. The goal is her fourth of the season.
Sophomore Matti Benson later added Louisville’s second goal via a penalty kick in the second half. She has now found the back of the net a team leading seven times this season.
Henderhan Records 6th Shutout
Junior Goalkeeper Amelia Henderhan tallied 4 saves en rout to recording her sixth shutout of the year for LHS. She has now recorded 184 saves this season. The shutout is the 16th of her career.
Louisville Vs. Alliance Girls Soccer History
With the victory, the Lady Leopards have now won 9 straight against the Lady Aviators including their last 5 matches against Alliance at home. Louisville leads the all-time series 12-4-1, which includes a 7-2 record when playing at home in the series.
The Leopards have now shutout the Aviators in 6 of their past 7 meetings overall. This is Louisville’s seventh shutout of Alliance overall dating back to their first meeting against Alliance in 2004.

10 Leopards Honored for Senior Night
Prior to the match, LHS honored their ten senior players. They included Taylor Beckley, Morgan Keelan, Emily Kirby, Morgan Mayle, Diana Pukys, Hallie Schillig, Bre Pittman, Sofia Sanchez, Taylor Sharlow, and Fallon VanZant.
Leopard Nation would like to thank these ten seniors for all their hard work and contributions to the Lady Leopards Soccer program and wish them the best of luck on all their future endeavors for the rest of the year and beyond high school!
