Boys Soccer Blanks Northwest 4-0 in Scrimmage
Louisville 4, Northwest 0
The Louisville Leopards blanked the visiting Northwest Indians 4-0 in Scrimmage action Tuesday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville stays unbeaten at 3-0 in the preseason.
Four different Leopards found the net during the final home preseason match. Bradley Terra netted a goal off a pass from Alex Stefanik to begin the scoring. Then Hunter Foley scored via an assist from Bailey Adams to put Louisville ahead 2-0 by halftime.
Adams would score a goal of his own in the second half after Derek Zeller delivered a beautifully placed pass into the box. Adams shot the ball into the left side of the net to make it 3-0.
The Leopards and Indians also played an extra 10-minute period after the normal 80-minute regulation concluded. Louisville’s AJ Meeks scored in that extra frame to finalize the score at 4-0.
On defense, Jarrett Zwick made several key saves in goal for the Leopards to record the shutout. The shutout is Louisville’s second straight in scrimmage play this season.
While it is only preseason, this is the first time the Leopards have recorded back-to-back shutout wins since September 2010 when they defeated Canton South 6-0 and Massillon 7-0.
