Boys Basketball Edged By Boardman 49-45

The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball was edged by the host Boardman Spartans 49-45 Tuesday evening at BHS. With the loss, Louisville is now 7-2 overall.
Blake Hoover poured in 10 points & grabbed 11 rebounds and Chris Libertore dropped in 10 points & had 2 steals to lead the Leopards. Jake Adams also hit 3 of 5 three-pointers to finish with 9, Jake Pukys had 4 assists, and Drew Noble pulled down 9 boards.
The Spartans (4-5) took a 10-4 lead at the end of the first quarter and led at the end of every period following that. Boardman was led by Gannon Murray who scored a game-high 21 points, John Ryan who scored 16, and Holden Lipke who added 8.
Louisville trails the known all-time series 6-15. The Spartans have won the last 5 meetings between the two squads overall.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Carrollton Warriors on Friday, January 9. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow at approximately 7:30 PM.
