Lady Leopards Drop Home Opener to Boardman in 5 Sets – Volleyball
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team fell to the visiting Boardman Spartans in five sets 21-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 12-15 Saturday Afternoon at Louisville High School.

Owen DiMarzio caught a touchdown pass from Tate Aljancic and ran in another to lead the Leopards past the host Spartans 19-7 in their final scrimmage. Cam Dougherty also ran for a touchdown for Louisville.
Sarah Bricker recorded a hat trick and Brooklyn Essik scored a pair of goals, but the Lady Leopards fell in the second half to the host Spartans 10-9. Louisville is now 3-8 on the season with the loss.
Cooper Rice went 4-for-4 and Jakeb Beard finished 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs as the Leopards defeated the visiting Spartans 9-4. Andrew Corona also drove in a pair of runs and Cole Miller recorded 2 hits as LHS improved to 9-6.
Blake Balderson scored the Leopards lone goal off an assist from Seth Colley in the first quarter, but Louisville fell to visiting Boardman 15-1. The Leopards are now 0-2 on the season.
Kaiden Barker, Kolton Barker, Tanner Frank, Luke Seaman, Abel Bolyard, Blake Balderson, Micah Bricker, and Jake Beard all won by fall as the Leopards earned their most lopsided victory in team history 82-0 over the visiting Spartans on Senior Night. Louisville finishes the regular season 5-1 in dual matches.
Brayden Gross scored a game high 24 points to lead the Leopards past the visiting Spartans 80-51. Hayden Nigro also scored 19, Beau Siegfried 13, and Ashton Marshall 12 as Louisville secured its 12th straight victory.
Brooke Haren scored a team high 17 points to lead the Lady Leopards in their 55-45 loss to the host Lady Spartans. Courtney Barwick also tacked on 12 and Taylor McCully added 8 as Louisville dropped to 3-1 on the season.
Connor Morley went 2-for-3 and combined with Zach Root for a shutout as Louisville blanked host Boardman 3-0. Cole Miller also hit an RBI double and Cooper Rice drove in a run as LHS improved to 9-4.
Blake Balderson, Ben Bendle, and Luke Seaman all won by fall in both matches as the Leopards defeated the Cardinals 63-10 and the host Spartans 50-24. Louisville remains perfect in dual matches on the season improving to 7-0.
