Taylor Thompson had 4 hits & Shae O’Neill went 2-for-3 with 3 RBIs as the #18 Lady Leopards upset the host #8 Fighting Irish 11-3 in the Sectional Finals. Taylor Schneider struck out 8 in the circle & Leah Claugus recorded her 100th hit as LHS evened its mark at 13-13.
Taylor Schneider pitched 5 scoreless inning and struck out 9 to lead the Lady Leopards in a 5-1 victory over the visiting Fighting Irish. Addy Campbell, Leah Claugus, and Shae O’Neill all recorded doubles as LHS improved to 4-4.
Ella Tillett scored a game-high 14 and Maggie Baker poured in 12 as Louisville rallied from down eleven to defeated host Ursuline 47-41. Mikayla Salmons also added 8 as the Lady Leopards improved to 2-5.
Maggie Baker and Courtney Barwick both scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Lady Leopards past the visiting Fighting Irish 64-37. Reagan Biery also scored 7 and Chay Cline came back from injury to score Louisville’s opening points as LHS improved to 9-12.
Brooke Haren scored a season high 27 points to lead the Leopards to a convincing 72-42 road victory over the Fighting Irish. Taylor McCully also scored a season high 16 and Courtney Barwick added 13 as the Lady Leopards improved to 13-4.
Matti Benson went 2-for-3 with an RBI double that scored Kenzi Denzer, but the Leopards fell to the Fighting Irish 3-1. Olivia Mongiardo also hit a double as Louisville dropped to 7-4.
Caleb Harsh shot a team best 77 to lead the boys and Peyton Biery shot 89 to lead the girls as the Leopards placed 6th at the Northeast Ohio Co-Ed Tournament. Jack Mayle also shot 79 as Louisville finished as runner-up for the boys field.
Sam Karcher placed shot 7 over par 78 to place 9th individually as Louisville tied Kent Roosevelt for 7th place in the DI Flight. Jack Mayle also took 14th shooting 8 over par 80 for the tournament.
