On April 17 Anthony Hoover defeated Salem’s Andrew Pietzrak in the three sets to propel the Leopards to a 3-2 victory over the Quakers. The Win allowed Louisville to capture a share of the NBC!
After Vince Burwell served and Marlington returned, Daniel Thompson threw the hammer down to close out #1 Doubles. The win was the Leopards clinching third, which gave them the match and a share of the NBC Title with Salem.
Doubles winners for Louisville included the teams of Vince Burwell & Daniel Thompson and Michael Thomas & Ryan Shepherd. The win is the Quakers first ever win over the Leopards after previously suffering eight straight defeats.
Ryan Shepherd & Michael Thomas recorded a doubles victory, but Louisville still fell to Green 4-1 snapping a 14-game winning streak. Only the 17-0 1979 team had more consecutive wins in a season.
Adam Sullivan & Anthony Hoover won singles matches. Vince Burwell & Daniel Thompson and Ryan Shepherd & Michael Thomas won double matches for 14-1, 8-0 Louisville.
The Leopards boys tennis team edged out Canton South 3-2 in moving to 7-0 in the NBC and 13-1 overall. With the sweep of South, Louisville has now won 5 of their 7 NBC matches by counts of 3-2.
The Leopards boys tennis team won their eleventh straight match after sweeping United Local 5-0 Tuesday evening. Louisville is now 11-1 overall this season and are 20-0 against the Eagles all-time.
The Leopards boys tennis team won their tenth straight match after defeating West Branch 3-2. They are now 10-1 overall and 6-0 in the NBC after beating the Warriors for the 10th straight time.
Anthony Hoover battled back to win the final two sets of his match propelling Louisville to a 3-2 win. The Leopards also won both doubles matches & are now 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the NBC.
