Austin Beck & Riley Nieschwitz each won their singles matches to lead the Leopards past the visiting Magics 3-2. The #2 doubles team of Garett Chilson & Isaiah Gray also won in straight sets as LHS improved to 6-5.
Hayden Nigro scored 20 points and was named team MVP in leading Louisville to a 61-44 victory over Barberton at the Hall of Fame Hardwood Classic at Massillon. Will Aljancic also scored 14 and Tyler Boldon added 8 as LHS improved to 6-1.
Kelsey Adelman finished with 18 service points AJ Burick had a team-high 26 assists to lead Louisville to a 25-19, 25-19, 25-16 road sweep at Barberton. Brooke Haren also recorded 10 kills and Emma Davis had 8 digs.
Zack Seaman caught a 30 yard touchdown pass from Caleb Miller but the Leopards fell to the visiting Magics 26-7 to open the season. Shane Gates fumble recovery on defense setup Louisville’s only score.
Paige Cole broke her own single season kills record while finishing with 26 kills, 20 digs, and 11 points & 4 aces serving during Louisville’s 25-16, 16-25, 25-23, 25-22 victory over Barberton. Lauren Siegfried also had 31 assists and 10 points & 3 aces serving as the Lady Leopards won their 6th straight.
Sherilynn Mullett & Jade Thomas both won their singles matches a perfect 6-0, 6-0 to lead the Lady Leopards past the Magics 4-1 on the road. Kora Woolfe also won in #3 singles and the #1 doubles team of Bailey Menegay & Katie Yarnall also won in two sets.
Ryan Aljancic shot a team best 85 and Jack Mayle shot 86 to lead the Leopards to a 5th place finish out of 12 competing teams in the Canfield Cup tournament held at Tippecanoe Country Club.
Rachel Kibler won #1 singles a perfect 6-0, 6-0 to lead the Leopards in their road shutout of the Magics 5-0. Jo Menegay and Sherilynn Mullett also won in singles action both by the count of 6-1, 6-0 as LHS improved to 13-2.
