The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team shutout the visiting Barberton Magics 2-0 Thursday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. The victory snaps the Leopards 5-game winless streak as they improve to 4-5-2 on the season.

Burton and Swope Score for Louisville
Carter Burton scored the only goal of the first half on a penalty kick with 10:15 remaining. The goal was Burton’s team leading 10th of the season as Louisville took a 1-0 advantage into the break.
Kadan Swope added a Leopard insurance goal early on in the second half via a pass from Dominic Porter-Kovacich. The goal was Swope’s third of the season and it gave Louisville a 2-0 lead with 36:03 left in the game. The assist was Porter-Kovacich’s team best eighth of the season.
Foradis Records Shutout for the Leopards
Goalkeeper Giovanni Foradis recorded the shutout in goal for the Leopards.
The shutout is Louisville’s first of the season.
Louisville Vs. Barberton Boys Soccer Series
The Leopards are now 2-0 against the Magics all-time. Louisville won at Barberton 5-4 last season.

JV: Louisville 5, Barberton 0
The Leopards JV Soccer Team shutout the visiting Barberton Magics 5-0 Thursday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With their second straight victory, Louisville JV is now 6-4-2 on the season.
Maddox Mayle scored a goal in each half to lead the Leopards offense. Cale Lindner provided the assist on Mayle’s first goal.
Noah Papai scored the first goal of the game and Evan Swope connected on a PK for the opening score of the second half. Dom Collier finished off the Louisville scoring with the final goal of the game via an assist from Swope.
Goalkeepers Justin Keister and Mason Ivey combined for the shutout. Keister worked the net in the first half and Ivey the second half. The shutout is the 5th of the season for the JV Leps.
