Leopards Swept by Claymont on Senior Night – Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team was swept by the visiting Claymont Mustangs 19-25, 15-25, 16-25 on Senior Night Tuesday at Louisville High School. With the loss, Louisville drops to 8-10 on the season.

Davis Records Match High 20 Digs

Senior defensive specialist/libero Emma Davis led the Lady Leopards on defense with a match high 20 digs. Other leaders for Louisville included sophomore setter AJ Burick with a team high 25 assists and sophomore middle hitter/opposite hitter Sloane Sypolt with a team leading 8 kills.

Sophomore Brooke Haren also led the Lady Leopards in serving with 6 service points and 1 ace.


Loy Returns from ACL Tear to Serve Opening Point

Senior middle hitter Kendal Loy stole the show at the beginning of Tuesday’s match. The senior tore her ACL prior to the start of the season, but came off the bench Tuesday to serve the opening point of her senior night match. Louisville won the point much to the delight of the Leopards team and fans in attendance. 


Ronald and Wallace Lead Claymont

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe Lady Mustangs were led by Ryleigh Ronald and Averi Wallace. Ronald registered a match high 15 kills and 4 blocks for Claymont. Averi Wallace finished with a team high 8 digs to go along with 10 kills and 2 blocks for CHS as well.

Louisville is now 4-1 against Claymont all-time dating back to their first known meeting in the 2010 Jackson Invitational. The Lady Leopards are now 1-1 against the Lady Mustangs when playing at LHS.

Louisville Celebrates Five for Senior Night

Re-Elect Corey Street Louisville City Council AdPrior to the match, the Lady Leopards honored their five senior players. They included Kelsey Adelman, Emma Davis, Bridget DeJacimo, Kendal Loy, and Reagan Vanover.

Leopard Nation would like to thank these five seniors for their hard work and dedication to the Louisville Volleyball Program! We wish you the best of luck in the tournament and in all your endeavors beyond high school!

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to take on the Wooster Generals on Thursday, October 14. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 6:00 PM.
