Leopards Notch 600th Win in Sweep of Crusaders – Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the host Canton Central Catholic Crusaders 25-22, 25-22, 25-23 Wednesday Evening at Canton Central Catholic High School, With the victory, the Lady Leopards improve to 9-10 on the season. The victory is the 600th all-time in the history of the Louisville Volleyball Program since its inaugural season in 1974.

Burick and Davis Lead Louisville
Sophomore setter AJ Burick finished with a team high 25 assists and 6 kills to lead the Lady Leopards on offense. Fellow sophomore middle hitter Brooke Haren also recorded a team leading 8 kills for LHS.
Haren also tied senior outside hitter Reagan Vanover in registering 2 blocks on defense for Louisville. Senior defensive specialist/libero Emmia Davis led the Leopards defense with a team best 16 digs.
Burick and Davis were Louisville’s top servers for the match with 10 service points each. Senior defensive specialist Bridget DeJacimo also finished with 4 service aces for LHS.

The Leopards have now defeated the Crusaders in each of their past two meetings. Louisville last defeated Canton Central Catholic 20-25 25-12 25-13 25-7 at home in 2018.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to take on the Wooster Generals on Thursday, October 14. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 6:00 PM.
