Harris Throws No-Hitter as Leopards Mercy Quakers – Softball

Harris retired 15 of the 17 batters that she faced and struck out 10 to earn the victory for the Leopards. An error allowed the Quakers Bailee Thorn to reach base on the first pitch of the game, but Harris sent down the next 9 Salem batters in order. A 4-pitch walk opened up the fourth inning, but Harris struck out the final 6 batters that opposed her to close the game.

On offense, Louisville brought 14 batters to the plate and erupted for 9 runs in the opening frame to take complete command of the game. Kaycee Ollis batted 3-for-3 with a 3-run homer and an RBI single in the first inning. She also tripled in Sydney McKeever in the third inning for what proved to be the game-clinching run.
McKeever would finish 2-for-2 at the dish with an RBI, stolen base, and 3 runs scored. Rylee Squire also went yard with a 2-run homer to center in the opening inning. Other Leopard contributions included Peyton McKeever with an RBI, Teagan Rice with a pair of runs scored, and Justina Sirohman with a triple.
With the victory, Louisville now leads the all-time series 13-0 over Salem which includes an 8-0 mark at home. The Lady Leopards have run-ruled the Quakers in their last 3 meetings outscoring them 35-0. Louisville has outscored Salem 177-6 all-time in runs scored.
