Louisville Stunned in Double Overtime at Alliance 59-58 – Boys Basketball

The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team lost a 59-58 heartbreaker in double overtime Friday Night at Harry Fails Gymnasium. With the loss, Louisville falls to 10-4 on the year and slips into a first place tie with the Marlington Dukes and the Minerva Lions at 6-2 in the NBC.
Brandon Wahl scored a team-high 15 points and Colton Jones also poured in 13 points to lead the Leopards. Spencer Hall and Derek Zeller also finished with 8 each for Louisville.
Alliance (6-6, 4-5) was led by Quardell Quay who scored a game-high 17 points. Tyler Johns also dropped home 16 and DeMarko Brooks scored 13.
With the loss, the Leopards have now lost 3 straight meetings against the Aviators. Alliance now leads the all-time series 45-17 which includes taking 11 of the last 14. Louisville finishes 8-18 against Alliance in NBC matchups since the Aviators joined the league during the 2005-06 Winter Sports Season.
