Girls Soccer Gets First Win at Football Stadium

Louisville 2, Minerva 0

In the first girls soccer game ever at Louisville Leopards Stadium the Lady Leopards downed the Minerva Lions 2-0.  Louisville scored a pair of first half goals, first from Rachel Baughman 6 minutes into the contest and the second from Mackenzie Storlie with just 1:39 remaining until halftime.  Michelle Patterson and Tara Stevens recorded one assist each on both of the scores.

Louisville outshot Minerva 31-8 and had 8 corner kicks to the Lions 2.  Goalie Becca Springman saved all 3 shots that came her way as the Lady Leopards improved to 7-3 overall on the year and 3-2 in the NBC.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Lake Center Christian on Monday, October 3 at 5:00 PM (unless the home game vs. Lake is made up before that).
