Boys Cross Country District Champions, Chaplik Places 1st
Boys – Louisville 44 (1st Out of 14)
The Louisville Leopards Boys Cross Country Team was crowned District Champions at the DI Canton District Meet at Malone University Saturday. The Leopards finished with 44 total places, which earned them first place out of 14 teams competing.
Individually, Noah Chaplik won the District Race for Louisville with a time of 15:56.8. He edged second place Steward Schmidt (15:58.9) from Green by 2.1 seconds. Chaplik is the first Leopard to win an Individual District Title since Curtis Hanle blazed past the competition at Malone in 2010 with a time of 15:36.21.
Rounding out Louisville’s top five were Nick Chaplik (4th), Zach Fresenko (7th), Ben Tornow (15th), and Christian Hendricks (17th). The Leopards finished 12 places ahead of second place Jackson who finished with a score of 56.
Louisville has now won 2 District Titles in the past 3 years and have won 3 overall in their history (2010, 2013, 2015).

Girls – Louisville 261 (9th Out of 13)
The Louisville Lady Leopards Girls Cross Country Team finished 9th out of 13 teams competing a the DI Canton District Meet at Malone University Saturday. Louisville finished with 261 total places.
Hailey Miller (22:14.3) placed 43rd and Ashlee Beaver (22:14.6) finished just behind her in 44th to lead the Leopards. Also scoring for Louisville were Isabel Kiko (49th), Hailey Stertzbauch (62nd), and Allyssa Warren (63rd).
UP NEXT: The Leopards Boys Cross Country team will next compete at the DI Youngstown Regional Meet on Saturday, October 31 with race time beginning at 3:00 PM.
