Leopards Rally Past Mustangs for Five Set Victory – Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team rallied to defeat the visiting Tuslaw Mustangs in five sets 25-15, 23-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-5 Thursday Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 4-1 on the season.
Burick Leads Offense with 45 Assists
Senior Addison Burick finished with a team high 45 assists on offense and 3 blocks on defense to lead the Lady Leopards. She was named the Carrabba’s Player of the Game by Straggat Media.
Louisville took the first set with ease 25-15, but dropped the next two sets 23-25 and 21-25 to fall behind 2-1. The Leopards were able to rally with a 25-20 fourth set victory and carried that momentum into the final set. Louisville finished how they started by taking the final set by a double digit count of 15-5.

Walters Records 41 Digs for Leps Defense
Junior Riley Walters registered 41 digs to lead the Lady Leopards defense. Walters finished just one dig shy of tying the Louisville single game mark of 42 set by Nicole Kettlewell during the 2013 season.
Senior Kiersten Kendall finished as the Leopards leading server with 5 aces.
Louisville Wins 5th Straight Over Tuslaw
Louisville has now defeated Tuslaw in each of the past 5 seasons. The Leopards won a five set thriller at Tuslaw last season. Louisville also defended home court in previous victories over the Mustangs in 2019 and 2021.
