Stephanie Brookens placed 11th in the 100 Freestyle & still has a shot at state. The other competing Leopards Swimmers swam hard in a tough Northeast District.
The Louisville Leopards placed 7th as a team in the Sectional Tournament at West Branch this weekend. Lucas Poyser won the 160-pound Championship to lead the Leps.
A 14-4 fourth quarter run pulled Massillon ahead before they took the Sectional Semifinal matchup 53-43. Brianna Libertore poured in 19 & Molly Brown added 12 for the Lady Leps who finish 16-5.
The two teams combined to hit 18 three-pointers before Salem pulled ahead for the win. Jake O’brien led the Leps with 19 and Kelly also tacked on 16.
The Lady Leopards won their 7th straight game to close the regular season at 16-4. Clara Lemmon led all scorers with 13 points and all the Seniors were honored.
Mike Kelly scored a game-high 27 points, Jake O’brien poured in 12, and Alex Schooley added 10 to lead the Leopards to their 7th win of the season.
Matt Campbell, Stephanie Brookens, & Stephanie Horton all advanced to Districts individually & the Boys 400 Freestyle relay team also advanced to CSU.
The Louisville Leopards boys basketball team drew the 11th seed at the Division I Alliance Tournament draw and will open with Boardman on February 27 at 7:30.
Cody Cheezan and Ronnie Carter led the Leopards with 10 points each, while Trevor Meredith also added 7. Louisville held West Branch to only 12 first half points.
