Rachel Kibler, Jo Menegay, and Sherilynn Mullett all won their singles matches in straight sets during the Leopards 3-2 home win over the Blue Streaks. Louisville is now 10-4 on the season.
Katie Bice and Alexis Ralston each shot a team best 47, but the Leopards suffered their first loss at the hands of the host Quakers 184-197. Karli Redinger also tallied a 49 and Madison Gruber a 54 for 12-1 Louisville.
Paige Cole finished with 9 digs and 4 blocks but the Leopards were swept by the host Panthers 19-25, 14-25, 18-25. Cami Nau was also Louisville’s leading server with 7 points and Katelyn Monnot finished with 7 kills.
Bobby Ganser placed 14th to lead the Louisville Boys to a 4th place finish out of 25 teams at the Galion Festival Race Saturday. Colby Adams also took 25th and Miklos Hendricks finished in 27th for the Leopards.
Rachel Kibler and Sherilynn Mullett were the Flite 1 Champions and Jo Menegay and Mandy Plaskett claimed the Flite 2 Title as the Leopards went 8-1 on the day to win their first LHS Doubles Classic since 2016. Kerstin St. Clair and Jade Thomas also finished as Runner-Ups in Flite 3 for Louisville.
Louisville fell to host Jackson 14-25, 14-19 and Marlington 21-25, 15-25 but defeated Southeast in their third match 25-16, 25-13 to finish 1-2 at the Jackson Invitational. Paige Cole was named to the all-tournament team.
Morgan Cole placed 8th and Cassidy Kiko 9th to lead Louisville to a 2nd place finish at the Boardman Spartan Invitational Saturday. Nicole Israel, Kayla Gibson, and Emma Patterson rounded out the Leopards top 5.
The Louisville High School Athletic Hall of Fame received 5 new members in the class of 2018. They included Debbie Grant (1980), Jason Siegfried (1995), Leah (Seaman) McKinney (2006), Kyle Kling (2008), Amanda (Jaeb) Scott (2008). View Video of Introductions!
Colton Jones threw for a school record 502 yards and 6 touchdowns as the Leopards upset the Blue Streaks 41-28. Ryan Pukys also finished with 196 yards receiving and 4 touchdown catches for 2-2 Louisville.
