Girls Tennis Downs GlenOak & Green to Start Season
The Lady Leopards opened the season on Wednesday and defeated host GlenOak 4-1. On Friday they downed Green in the home opener 4-1. Louisville is now 53-3 in their last 56 dual matches.

The Lady Leopards Tennis shutout all 8 of their NBC opponents and did not lose a single set during that run. Gretchen Groves was named NBC Player of the Year and Rod Hall was named Coach of the Year.
The Leopards finished 17-2 overall which was the most wins in team history since 1979 and also completed a perfect 10-0 sweep of conference foes in winning their 9th NBC Championship.
Softball took District Runner-Up, both Softball & Boys Tennis won the NBC, and Jordan Monnot & Mackenzie Rankin were award the Three Sport Award for the fourth straight year.
The 2013 Louisville Boys Tennis teams’ 17 wins are the most since 1979 and they are the first ever NBC team to go 10-0 in the league. Their .895 winning percentage is second all-time only to the perfect 17-0 team of 1979.
Louisville shutout Canton South 5-0 on Monday to clinch their 9th NBC Title all-time. The Leopards won every match in straight sets. Louisville has now won 13 straight.
Jake Pukys & Adam Sullivan defeated Austintown Fitch 6-1, 6-0 in the Flite 1 Championship of the Louisville Doubles Classic Saturday. The Leopards are now 11-1 overall dual meets and a perfect 7-0 in the NBC.
The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis team is off to another hot start. With two victories on Friday Louisville is now 8-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the NBC.
All three singles winners Jake Pukys, Adam Sullivan, Ryan Shepherd won in straight sets, as did the #2 Doubles team of Hunter Williams and Vick Knebl. The Leps are now 3-0 in the NBC after beating Salem & Marlington as well.
