Leopards Fight Hard, But Can’t Overcome Vikings 57-39

The Lake Blue Streaks used a 22-5 second quarter to open up the game before defeating the Louisville Leopards 55-29 in the North Canton Division I Sectional Final at Walsh University Friday.
The Lady Leopards have knocked off Massillon, Jackson, Tuslaw twice, Lake, and West Branch. Emily Hollifield has scored 49 points in the past two games for Louisville.
Jrodan Monnot had 11 points, 6 rebounds, & 6 steals and Hannah Lemmon also scored 8 points and tallied 3 blocks & 3 steals for the Leopards in losing effort against the Blue Streaks.
After taking the first two sets, the Leopards surrendered the next 3 sets to fall 25-13, 25-18, 22-25, 23-25, 12-25 to the Blue Streaks in the Sectional Finals Wednesday.
The Lady Leopards concluded the 2012 season with a 4-1 win across town at St. Thomas Aquinas. With the victory Louisville finishes the season at 14-1 and is 45-3 since 2010 in dual meets overall.
The Lady Leopards drew the sixth seed in the DI Austintown District Girls Soccer Tournament Sunday and will host the GlenOak Golden Eagles on Monday, October 15 at 7 PM.
The Lady Leopards drew the third seed in the DI Uniontown District Volleyball Tournament Draw Sunday. Louisville will take on the winner of Lake-McKinley in the Sectional Finals on October 15 at 7:45 PM.
The Lake Blue Streaks defeated the Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer team 3-0 Saturday at the Louisville Soccer Field. The Leopards drop to 6-5 with the loss and are now 0-4 against the Blue Streaks all-time.
The teams of Gretchen Groves & Sam Pukys, Alexis Isla & Sarah Robbins, and Ciara Antonacci & Hannah Lemmon all won their flights Saturday at the Louisville Doubles Classic. Louisville also beat Lake 3-2 on Monday to move to 8-1.
