Polar Bears Rally to Stun Leopards 6-5

The Louisville Lady Leopards swept the host Hudson Explorers in both games of a Double Header 12-3 and 16-8 back on Saturday, April 19.
Keri Hupp had 2 RBI hits, Amy Hoover & Grace Jackson each hit solo homers, and Lexi Givens also drove in a run, but the Leopards fell to the Cardinals 14-5.
Kirsten Wharmby struck out 9 to lead the Leopards past the Lions 6-0. Katie Cozy & Grace Jackson each had a pair of hits as Louisville won their 41st straight NBC game.
Grace Jackson hit a 2-run single and Keri Hupp blasted a 3-run homer to lead the Lady Leopards in their 14-5 loss to the Panthers.
Grace Jackson hit 2 Home Runs, Lexi Givens & Keri Hupp also hit their first career homers, and Emily Cantley provided the game-ending 2-run single in Louisville’s 12-2 win over Canton South.
Emily Cantley & Annie Woolf each homered and drove in two runs to lead Louisville to a 5-4 victory over visiting West Branch.
Annie Woolf drove in Katie Cozy three times and the two went 5-for-5 at the plate for Louisville. The Polar Bears scored 8 runs in the opening inning and won the game 10-6.
West Branch took a 7-0 lead after two innings, but Louisville rallied & won on Grace Jackson’s walk-off single in the 7th. Annie Woolf also cracked 2 homers for the Lady Leopards in the contest.
Katie Cozy, Gianna Falcone, Chandler Rice, Annie Woolf, and Head Coach Chet Givens all represented Stark County & the Leopards in the Stark-Summit All-Star Game at Akron Firestone Stadium Wednesday.
