Perry Outslugs Louisville 14-5
Perry 14, Louisville 5
Louisville fell to visiting Perry 14-5 Wednesday evening. With the loss, the Lady Leopards fall to 2-2 on the season.
Two hits drove in all five of Louisville’s runs. Grace Jackson provided a 2-run single in the third and 
Keri Hupp launched a 3-run homer in the seventh. Hupp’s home run was her second in as many games. Annie Woolf also had 2 hits for the Lady Leopards.
Perry played perfect in the field and at one point Pitcher Lauren Deitrick retired 10 straight Louisville Batters.
The Panthers pounded out 16 hits at the plate. Katelyn McArthur and Emily Beck each hit 2-run homers for Perry. McArthur finished 4 for 5 with 3 runs batted in and 4 runs scored to lead Perry. Deitrick, Kassity Troxell, and Beck all had multi-hit games as well.
The Panther victory snaps the Leopards 3-game winning streak in the series. Perry leads the all-time series 21-7. The combined score of 19 is tied for the highest in the series as it matches the first ever meeting between the two squads from 1985 (Perry 16, Louisville 3).
