Cole Breaks Career Kills Record, Leps Roll Past Manchester – Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the host Manchester Panthers in three sets 25-15, 25-15, 25-22 Monday Evening at Manchester High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 6-4 on the season.
Senior Paige Cole broke the Louisville Leopards career kills record during the first set of the match. Cole recorded her eighth kill of the night by directly spiking back a Panther volley to give the Lady Leopards a 24-12 lead. With that hit she delivered kill number 831 for her career surpassing Alyx Crislip (830 from 2008-2010) for the most in team history. Play was paused as the team celebrated and the Manchester public address announcer recognized the accomplishment.

Cole would go on to finish with a team leading 22 kills to give her 845 for her illustrious career. Cole along with fellow seniors Amanda Clark and Lauren Siegfried all finished with 10 service points each as well.
Siegfried recorded a team-high 18 assists and Clark also added 16 assists. Senior Sydney Bast led the defense with 16 digs.
This is the second known meeting between these two programs. The Lady Leopards also swept the Panthers 25-23, 25-15, 25-20 at home last season.
