Cole Breaks Own Kills Record in Sweep of Manchester – Volleyball
Louisville 25-25-25, Manchester 23-15-20
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the visiting Manchester Panthers 25-23, 25-15, 25-20 in three sets Monday Evening at Louisville High School. After falling under the .500 mark at 4-5, the Lady Leopards have now ripped off 6 straight to improve to 10-5 heading into Senior Night Thursday.
Junior Outside Hitter Paige Cole continued to raise the bar on her own single match kills record in sending down a team record 27 kills to lead the Leopards past the Panthers. Cole set the school record with 25 kills in a four set match at North Canton Hoover on September 5 and then matched that mark in a three set match against Stow at the Jackson Invitational on September 14.
Junior Setter Amanda Clark finished with a team leading 28 assists to setup the Louisville offense. Senior Defensive Specialist Kaitlyn Baskerville was the Lady Leopards leading server with 16 service points and 3 aces.
The Leopards were led on defense by Junior LIBERO Sydney Bast who finished with a team high 15 digs.
JV: Manchester 2, Louisville 1
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Tallmadge Blue Devils for Senior Night on Thursday, September 26. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity is scheduled to start no earlier than 6:00 PM after all Senior Night walk-throughs are finished.
