Schillig Scores Twice to Lead Leopards

Freshman Alyssa Schillig scored a pair of goals and also recorded an assist to lead the Lady Leopards. Louisville broke the scoreless tie in the 22nd minute when Schillig provided an assist for fellow freshman Sammi Beatty who netted her fifth goal of the season.

The same combination in reverse resulted in the Leopards second goal of the first half. Beatty provided the assist for Schillig who put Louisville in front 2-0 with 8:04 to go in the first half.

Later in the second half, junior Paige Folk delivered a perfect corner kick from the left corner. The ball would have likely found the net directly off the boot, but Schillig was there to remove all doubt. She headed it home for her second goal of the contest and team leading seventh score of the season. The assist was Folk’s fourth of the season tying her with sophomore Alissa Lingenhoel for the team lead.

Henderhan Records 7th Shutout

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdSenior goalkeeper Amelia Henderhan only recorded one save, but it was enough for her to earn her seventh shutout on the season in goal. The shutout is the 25th of her varsity career.

Henderhan and the Lady Leopards are also closing in on tying the team record for most shutouts in a season with two regular season games remaining. The 2004 team, the 2013 team, and most recently the 2021 team all notched eight shutouts in a season. Henderhan holds the known individual record for shutouts in a season with eight as part of that 2021 campaign.
