Lady Leopards Extinguish Flames 4-1 to Win 4th Straight – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team defeated the visiting Mansfield Christian Flames 4-1 Saturday at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With their fourth straight victory, Louisville improves to 8-5 on the season.
Allan Scores a Pair of Goals to Lead Louisville
Sophomore Payton Allan scored a pair of second half goals to lead the Lady Leopards. Neither team scored during the first 50 minute of action before Allan broke the deadlock at the 29:55 mark. Freshman Sammi Beatty took a shot that deflected to Allan who banged it home for the score.
Allan would also score the game’s final goal of the contest with 1:10 remaining to put Louisville ahead 4-1. With her two scores Saturday, Allan retakes the team lead in goals with six on the season.
Bush and Schillig Add Second Half Scores
Senior Gracie Bush and freshman Alyssa Schillig also scored second half goals in between Allan’s two scores to add to the Lady Leopard total. Bush scored in the 68th minute to put Louisville ahead 2-0. Mansfield Christian answered 1:52 later to chop their deficit in half at 2-1. Schillig later scored in the 74th minute via an assist from junior Ava Heckman to give the Leopards a commanding 3-1 lead with 6:32 to play.
Schillig has now scored five goals on the season while Bush has netted four scores for the year.

Leopards Out-Shoot Flames 13-4
Louisville held a 13-4 advantage in shots on goal and a 2-1 edge in corner kicks. Senior goalkeeper Amelia Henderhan finished with three saves in goal for the Lady Leopards.
The Lady Flames are now 5-6-2 on the season with the loss. This was the first ever meeting between the two schools in girls soccer.
