The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team scored twice in the final 14 minutes to rally past the visiting Lake Blue Streaks 2-1 Wednesday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. The Lady Leopards have now won 5 of their last 6 matches and improve to 5-2 on the season with the victory.

Lab Sisters Score in Back-to-Back Minutes

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdLake scored the lone first half goal near the end of the 21st minute of action. The Blue Streaks would carry that lead deep into the second half and look poised to continue their dominance when playing within the borders of Louisville.

The Lady Leopards had other plans. Senior Natalie Lab knotted the game at 1-1 by converting a penalty kick in the 67th minute. The goal was her team leading fourth of the season.

Sophomore Violet Lab stayed onside and booted the ball in front of the goalkeeper and into the right side of the net to give Louisville a 2-1 lead. The goal was the first of her varsity career.


Leopards 1st Home Win Over Lake in Team History

Jenny Can Cleaning AdThe Lady Leopards held the the Lady Streaks off the board for the final 12 minutes to preserve their 2-1 victory.

Louisville had failed to defeat Lake in their previous 9 home matchups posting an 0-6-3 record and getting outscored 33-11. That all changed in the 10th meeting Wednesday though as the Lady Leopards rallied to post their first win at home over the Blue Streaks in team history.
