The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team shutout the host Marlington Dukes 1-0 Saturday Afternoon at the Marlington Soccer Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 4-2 on the season.

Leopards Take Lead on Schillig’s 1st Half Goal

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdSophomore Alyssa Schillig scored the game’s only goal in the opening half for the Lady Leopards. The goal is her third of the season tying her with Natalie Lab for the team lead in goals scored.

Junior Payton Allan recorded the assist on the goal, her second of the season.


Mercier Records Shutout in Goal

Jenny Can Cleaning AdJunior goalkeeper Audrey Mercier finished with a clean sheet for Louisville. The shutout is her third of the season.

The Leopards have now defeated the Dukes in each of the past two seasons. Louisville still trails the all-time series 9-10-2, but holds a 6-4-1 edge when playing at Marlington in the series.

Equitable Advisors - Bryce MathieThe Lady Leopards were 0-9-1 against he Lady Dukes at the conclusion of their 2011 matchup. Since then, Louisville has compiled a 9-2-1 record against Marlington with this being their 5th shutout during that string.
