Jax Leonard won his 100th career match and Leopards recorded 12 pins in a team tying record 80-0 shutout of the Dragons. Louisville also dominated the Indians 67-3 in their second match after scoring the first 46 points of the match.
The Leopards tied a school record with three wrestlers placing at the State Tournament. Jax Leonard captured 3rd, Garett Lautzenheiser took 4th, and Davin Rhoads finished in 7th as Louisville placed 11th as a team.
Jax Leonard won the 145 District Title after an undefeated run and Ryan Jakubiak finished as District Runner-up in the 113 weight class. Garett Lautzenheiser, David Rhoads, and Blake Robbins also punched their tickets to state as Louisville took 5th as a team.
Eleven different Louisville Wrestlers punched their ticket to Districts as the Leopards placed 1st as a team at the DII Northwest Sectional Tournament. Garett Lautzenheiser, Ryan Jakubiak, Davin Rhoads, Daniel Kennedy, Jax Leonard, and Blake Robbins were all champions individually.
The Leopards claimed their first ever outright NBC Title with a 61-15 victory at Canton South Thursday. Garett Lautzenheiser, Ryan Jakubiak, Davin Rhoads, Logan Vanicek, Daniel Kennedy, Brent Paulus, and Blake Robbins all had pins to lead Louisville who finished the season 10-4 overall.
Louisville demolished visiting Salem 72-9 to clinch a share of their first NBC Title in 21 years. Quintin Scheetz, Carter Mickley, Daniel Kennedy, Zach Thatcher, and Riley Brendle all won by pin to lead the Leopards.
The Louisville Leopards Wrestling Team honored their 2018 Seniors before Thursday’s match agains the Salem Quakers.
The Leopards built a 30-0 lead at the start before rolling to a 44-24 road victory over the Warriors. Garett Lautzenheiser, Ryan Jakubiak, and Blake Robbins all won by pin to lead NBC undeated Louisville.
Louisville avenged an earlier season loss with a 42-24 victory over the Beaver Local Beavers in the Regional Semifinals. The Leopards built a 25-6 lead in the Regional Final before the host Canfield Cardinals stormed back to win 33-31.
The Leopards massacred the Salem Quakers 75-4 in the Semifinals before earning a 40-25 victory over the host Alliance Aviators to claim the Division II, Sub-Region 12-A title and advance to the Regional Tournament. Louisville is now 6-2 on the season.
