Louisville Pounds Minerva in Extras, Hollifield Throws JV No-No
The Leopards tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the seventh before pounding out 5 runs in the top of the eighth to take the game from Minerva 9-5 in extra innings.

Jon Crank hit a 2-run homer in the first inning and had 4 RBI’s in the game and Mike Kelly pitched four solid innings to lead the Leopards past Lake 10-3.

Leopards Baseball had its ups and downs in 2011, but an impressive 11-3 record within the conference was enough to give Louisville an Outright Title. In the Playoffs, Louisville won a controversial Sectional Title game!

Canton South beat Alliance 6-4 giving Louisville the outright crown, but Louisville blew a 10-4 lead in falling to Nordonia 11-10.
Louisville could only manage three hits against South’s Logan Bowles which led to the end of their season with a 7-2 loss to the Wildcats at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium.
The West Branch won a home game against the Leps 2-1 in 11 Innings. Although it was a home game for the Warriors…the game was played in Louisville.
Jeremy White went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs and Dillon Stertzbach pitched a complete game three-hitter and struck out nine as the Leopards won the a Sectional Title for the sixth straight season!
Only three and half innings were played between the Coventry Comets and Louisville Leopards, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t filled with Controversy. The two teams will resume play Saturday at 10:00 AM.
