Louisville 55, Marlington 48

Louisville led the entire second half in earning a 55-48 victory over visiting Marlington in the 100th Meeting between the two rivals. With the victory, the Leopards improve to 12-8 overall and finish 9-5 in the conference.

Blake Hoover scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed 7 boards to lead Louisville. In addition, Beatty's Sports Leopard HoodieDrew Noble scored all 11 of his points from the line, recorded a team-high 11 rebounds, and provided 2 mammoth blocks. Jake Pukys also added 11 points and tallied 3 steals.

The Dukes were led by Chris Andrews who scored a game-high 21 points and made 4 three-pointers. Thomas Mason recorded a game-high 13 rebounds & dropped in 11 points, and Tyler Oakes added 9. Marlington falls to 14-5 overall and 10-3 in the NBC.

The victory is the Leopards first over the Dukes since January 7, 2011 when they won 72-59 at Marlington. The Dukes won the 6 previous meetings before Friday. Louisville now leads the all-time series 62-38.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will conclude the regular season at home against Lake on Tuesday, February 18. It will be Senior Night.

Marlington rallied and outscored Louisville 18-7 in the final quarter to take the JV Contest 60-51. With the loss, the Leopards finish 11-3 in the NBC and fall to 12-8 overall.

The Leopards ended the third quarter on a 16-1 run to take a 44-42 lead before the Dukes took the game in the fourth. Tyler Adams hit 2 three-pointers and led Louisville with 11 points, Alex Hall broke double digits with 10 points and provided at least 3 blocks, and Jake Mathie added 8.

Marlington was led by Andrew Brady who scored a game-high 15 points. Brock Begue & Trent Weigand also scored 13 each for the Dukes. With the win, Marlington improved to 13-0 in NBC play to clinch the NBC in Junior Varsity.
