Leopards Beat Warriors in Highest Scoring Game Since 2010

Five Leopards reached double figures as Louisville won a shootout over visiting West Branch 86-69 Friday Night at LHS. With the victory, the Leopards are now 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the NBC.
Blake Hoover scored a game-high 25 points and Drew Noble also scored 16 points & slammed down two dunks to lead the Leopards.
The two squads played to a 19-19 tie after one quarter and Louisville took a 37-36 lead into the locker room. In the third quarter, The turning point of the contest came in the third quarter which saw the Leopards double up the Warriors 26-13 to take command of the contest. Hoover scored 11 in the period alone.
Louisville also recorded 11 three-pointers during the contest. Joe Crank hit 4 three-pointers and finished with 14 points, Chris Libertore made 3 three-pointers and finished with 13 points, and Jake Adams also put in 3 three-pointers and finished with 11 points.
The Leopards 86 point output is their most since February 19, 2010 when they won at Minerva 96-55. The combined scored of 155 is the highest since Louisville fell at Canton Central Catholic 83-75 (158 combined points) back on December 27, 2005.
West Branch was led by Jarian Thomas who scored a team-high 22 points. Three other Warriors also reached double figures and they included: Matt Meiter 12, Kyle Ziegler 11, and Matt Heffinger 10.
With the victory, the Leopards have now defeated the Warriors in four consecutive meetings and lead the all-time series 50-24. Louisville has now won 11 out of the last 13 games in the series overall including 6 of the last 7 at LHS. The only other time these two schools combined for a higher point total came on December 30, 1970 when Louisville defeated host West Branch 91-82 (173 combined points).
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Canton South to take on the Wildcats on Tuesday, December 16. JV will begin at 6:00 and Varsity will follow at approximately 7:30.
