Louisville 35, Marlington 8

Quarterback Joey Duckworth threw three touchdowns in leading the Louisville Leopards JV football team past the Marlington Dukes 35-8.

FRESHMAN FOOTBALL

Louisville 15, Marlington 14

Just nine days after the Louisville Leopards boys freshman football team beat Marlington 47-20 at Louisville Leopards stadium, they hung on to defeat the Dukes again this time by the slimmest of margins 15-14.

A Louisville error actually helped them win the game, as a bad snap on an extra point didn’t allow a kick attempt and the Leps ran it in for a two point conversion to take a 15-14 third quarter lead.  The defense took care of the rest as the freshman football team improved to 2-2 on the year.

UP NEXT: The freshman squad will host the Minerva Lions on Thursday, September 22 at 5:00 PM.
