Louisville Takes 5th at Stark County Tournament – Boys Golf

The Louisville Leopards Boys Golf Team competed at the Stark County Championships Tournament Saturday at Glenmoor Country Club. The Leopards shot 354 as a team to place fifth out of 15 competing Stark County schools.

Mayle Takes 10th to Lead Leopards

Sophomore Jack Mayle shot a team low 81 to lead Louisville and finish 10th individually for the tournament. Junior Sam Karcher also carded an 87 for the Leopards. Sophomores Cole Miller and Zach Root rounded out the LHS scoring by shooting 93 each.

Other Louisville golfers included juniors Ian DiMarzio and Caleb Harsh who tallied 101 and 106 respectively.

Medalist Kish Leads Jackson to Tournament Title

The Jackson Polar Bears won the tournament with a team score of 310. The Polar Bears finished with four golfers in the top eight individually, which included tournament medalist Jordan Kish who shot even par 72.

The Lake Blue Streaks edged out the North Canton Hoover Vikings 325-327 to take second as a team. The Blue Streaks were led by Camden Horning who shot 1 over par 73. Alliance’s Blake Hood also shot 1 over par 73 fo finish as individual co-runner-up.
