CROSS COUNTRY

The Louisville Girls Cross Country team placed fourth place out of 19 teams and the defending state champion Louisville Boys Cross Country team placed seventh out of 27 teams at the GlenOak Eagle Invitational Saturday.  Mackenzie Rankin placed fourth individually with a time of 20:02.34.  Louisville’s Boys B team placed 16th overall, while the Louisville Girls B team placed 14th overall.  Here’s a look at the complete results for the Leopards:

BOYS (7th out of 27 – 194)

18, Koczwara 17:26.96; 22, Thomas 17:31.82; 47, Gronow 18:07.54; 51, Dasco 18:12.28; 60, Cummings 18:20.47.

BOYS B (16th out of 27 – 499)

GIRLS (4th out of 19 – 166)

UP NEXT: The Girls Cross Country team will participate in the Marlington Invitational on Saturday, September 3 at 9:00 AM.  The Boys next meet will be the Avon Lake Invitational at Lorain Community College on Saturday, September 3 at 9:00 AM.

FOOTBALL (JV)

Walsh 35, Louisville 0

The Louisville Leopards JV football team fell at Walsh Jesuit Saturday morning 35-0.  No further details at this time.

UP NEXT: The Leps will play at North Canton Hoover on Saturday, September 3 at 10:00 AM.

SOCCER (Boys)

GlenOak 8, Louisville 0

The boys soccer team fell to 0-2 on the young season after an 8-0 defeat the GlenOak high school Saturday night.  The Golden Eagles took a 6-0 lead into the half before cruising to the 8-0 win.

VOLLEYBALL

Hoover 25-25-25, Louisville 17-17-21

The Lady Leopards Varsity Volleyball team got off to a rough start Saturday falling to North Canton Hoover in three straight sets 17-25, 17-25, 21-25.  Maddie Gramoy led the team in assists with 9, points on serves with 6, and 2 aces.  Molly Brown had 5 kills, Danielle Baker led the team with 9 digs and 2 blocks, and Brittany Lowry also had 2 blocks.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will travel to Salem to take on the Quakers on Tuesday, August 30 at 6:45 PM.
