My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team earned their first victory of the season against the visiting Poland Seminary Bulldogs Thursday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to an even 1-1 on the season.


Marcantonio Leads Leopards with 4 Goals

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdJunior attack Olivia Marcantonio scored a game high 4 goals to lead the Lady Leopards. Marcantonio scored a pair of goals in the first half and added another pair in the second half via assists from seniors Chloe Shadle and Hallie Schillig.

Junior midfielder Kalli Spehar got Louisville on the board first and junior attack Brooke Hubbard also scored two goals in the opening half as the Lady Leopards built a 5-3 halftime lead. 


Poland Rallies, Louisville Seals the Game

Jenny Can Cleaning AdMarcantonio put Louisville ahead 6-3 to open the scoring in the second half. Poland answered back with goals from juniors Sarah Forsyth and Morgan Bailey to cut the Leopard lead to 6-5.

However, Marcantonio and senior midfielder Morgan Brumfield each added scores in the final minutes to seal the victory for LHS. Senior Kailyn Miller provided the assist on the final Lady Leopard score off the stick of Brumfield.

Sophomore goalkeeper Sarah Bricker unofficially had double digit saves in net to lead Louisville on defense.


Louisville Now 6-0 Against Poland All-Time

The Lady Leopards are now 6-0 all-time against the Lady Bulldogs dating back to their first meeting in the 2016 regular season finale. This includes a 3-0 record in the series when played at Louisville.
